Report of the Secretary General

1. Society Activities

The Office of the Secretary General at the Istanbul Technical University, Turkey continued to carry day to day works of the Office, maintain communication with all members and related organizations and also replied various requests within 2006.

A Questionnaire sent to all OdM, StM, RgM and AsM to renew the database of the Society. Upon receipt of the replies, updating and modifications have been carried.

Official Documents such as Silver Book and Blue Book are also updating accordingly.

The ISPRS Awards Brochure has been prepared and printed. It is distributed on major ISPRS events and Technical Commissions Symposia.

ISPRS brochure is printed in a new outlook for the 3^rd time in this period and 15.000 copies of it have been sent to various meetings since Istanbul Congress.

An "Invitation Booklet" inviting the institutions, companies, and organizations enumerating the benefits of becoming ISPRS Sustaining Member has printed and distributed copies at the meetings during the year.

ISPRS Video for promoting the works and sciences related with the ISPRS activities has been prepared in 5 languages (English, French, German, Spanish and Turkish) and distributed to all members. A streaming video type copy of the Video will be placed on the ISPRS Webpage (only in English) very soon and it can be ordered by a cost of 30€ (incl. postage cost) from Gerhard Kemper

ISPRS website has been continuously controlled for mistakes, changes, missing parts and reported to the webmaster enabling to keep the website updated.

Approvals are given to the meetings requested by the WG's as per the annual program and also Volume No's are given to all requests for archives either digital or hard copy or else both forms.

A "Prospectus" has been prepared by the helps of John Trinder and Gerhard Kemper and copies distributed to the institutions, companies, and organizations. A copy of this prospectus pages is placed to the ISPRS web page. If you want to receive Hardcopy Form of this publication please send us your postal address.

Reports and articles are collected from various sources for "E-Highlights ". If you want that other parties should receive this E-Bulletin, please send us his/her name with the email address.

Within the year, Council has met in Reno (30 April- 2 May) in Goa (3 - 4 October) and Paris (5 - 6 May). However, there have been several informal meetings and constant e-mail communication among the Council Members Technical Commission Presidents and all ISPRS Members.

• As for the Secretary General, I have attended several Meetings Exhibitions and represented ISPRS as like UN COPUOS S&T Committee Meeting in Vienna, ASPRS Annual Conference in Reno Intergeo 06 and INTERGEO 06 in Munich where ISPRS had a special booth in both events. Among many other meetings I have attended all organized ISPRS Technical Commissions' Symposia and gave speeches at the Closing Ceremonies and handed a small gift to the Symposium Chairs.

2. Membership

As per the main responsibilities and efforts of the Secretary General, the following members were admitted to the ISPRS:
