Submission name:

Ochmann et al.

Short description of the method:

The approach is based on computing a labeling of a three-dimensional cell complex which is constructed from detected planes. For finding a labeling for all cells under certain constraints, a linear programming approach is used. The internal representation of our reconstruction is fully volumetric. Specifically, each room interior, outside space, and walls are closed, watertight volumes. Locations where multiple walls or slabs intersect are represented as overlapping volumes. In other words, a specific volume in 3D space may belong to multiple walls if those walls intersect at that location.
